Prior to owning Sunshine Environmental Energy Services, Tom has had a long and varied career. He spent 32 years with Connecticut based Peter Paul Candy Company working as Manager at 3 of its locations. He later served as Vice President Manufacturing for Grist Mill a Private Label  Granola Bar and Cereal Manufacturing Company in Minneapolis. In 1989 he founded a family run full Service Oil Company, Sunshine Oil Inc. Waterbury CT. which was fully managed by his son Steve until he returned from Minnesota to work with his son. In 2006 Tom was awarded the Marketer of the Year Award by the Independent Connecticut Petroleum Association for his active contributions made to the fuel oil industry.

In 2006 he retired from the Fuel Oil Industry selling Sunshine Oil to a larger Waterbury based Fuel Oil Company, and maintained the underground fuel oil tank removal division, Sunshine Environmental Services. Tom is committed to Customer Service and meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
